marksofdeathHisoka is an empath. This means he's able to read other people's emotions and sometimes their thoughts through them. He's not actually a mind reader, but he can pinpoint how you feel. He gets a general sense just from proximity, but touching will give him the whole view. This is why he has an aversion to touch.
I do read permissions and try to mention it, but if I make a mistake and have him read what he shouldn't, let me know. Thanks!
Character death: Hisoka is dead. He's a Shinigami and in his world, that means he was once a human that passed away, held a strong attachment, and passed a test. This WILL probably come up in games but in a very non-graphic way. He'll mention he's a Shinigami, that means he's dead. If asked how, he'll say disease.
Child abuse: Because of his powers, his parents hated him. They openly told him so, repeatedly said he wasn't their son, and locked him in a cage whenever he made the mistake of showing his abilities. This most likely won't be mentioned in threads. He keeps this a secret and doesn't openly share.
Rape: Because his life wasn't bad enough, Dr. Muraki rapes and curses the poor boy when he's just 13 years old. The curse placed on him set his body on fire from the inside, figuratively, and made him suffer pain for 3 years before his death. This will almost NEVER come up. He does have nightmares from that night but shrugs them off, even when asked. This ISN'T the reason he hates to be touched so don't worry about bringing that up.
